Cookies and browser storage

Draft, last updated 2026-10-31

The English version is the original. The Swedish text is a translation.

Bock doesn’t use cookies for tracking or advertising, and has no third-party analytics. It keeps a few things in your browser’s storage so the app works and remembers your choices. Because all of it is needed for the service you asked for, we don’t ask for consent to it.

1.What Bock keeps in your browser

WhatWhy
Your sign-in session (sb-…-auth-token)Keeps you signed in. Removed when you sign out.
bock.theme, bock.lang, bock.motionYour choices for light or dark, language, and motion.
bock.startedWhen Bock last opened, so the startup animation only plays on a cold start.
Interface state (such as bock.collapsed, bock.view.*, bock.posts.*, bock.idag.*, bock.notes.*, bock.lastQuickAddList, bock.meetingSpace)Remembers folded sections, views, filters and the last list or space you used.
For this tab only (bock.trace.*, bock.chunk-reload, bock.orgRecover, bock.oauth.authorization_id)Short-lived state: which animations you have seen, recovering once from an outdated version, and finishing an organisation or connector step. Gone when the tab closes.
A service workerOnly if you turn on push notifications, to show them.

2.Cookies set by others

  • Google sets its own cookies on its own pages while you sign in with Google, under Google’s policy.
  • Cloudflare serves Bock and doesn’t set a cookie on Bock’s pages today. If we turn on its bot protection it may set a short-lived security cookie (__cf_bm) to tell people from bots; we list it here before we do.

3.Clearing it

Signing out removes your session. You can clear everything else in your browser’s settings for this site; Bock then forgets your choices and asks you to sign in again. More about personal data is in the privacy policy, and questions go to [email protected].
